Agrigento
Agrigento is famous all around the world for the spectacular Valley of the Temples, an archaeological area situated on the south coast of Sicily and UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1998. The Valley includes seven impressive Doric temples built around the 6th century BCE and now partially restored; the best preserved is the one dedicated to the goddess Concordia. Tourists are strongly advised not to miss also the Archaeological Museum and the adjoining Roman Quarter.
