De camping:
The camping is located at Palazzuolo sul Senio, a quaint medieval village in Mugello, at the heart of Romagna- Tuscany. Pazzuolo sul Senio has been awarded title of Ideal Village in Italy by the magazine AIRONE and the EEC, becoming the permanent location for this prestigious prize giving event. The Camping covers a terraced area with 80 shaded pitches all with electricity. It has a bar, minimarket, hot showers, boules green, table tennis and organized excursions and walks. There is a large selection of open air and sporting activities that fill the holidaymakers time. We recommend the mountain bike or horse riding trips into the woods and the relaxing walks along the countryside paths passing streams, archeological sites and hidden corners ideal for picnics and an open air taste of the local delicacies.
Stone Bungalow:
The stone bungalow is set away from the rest of the campsite and surrounded by chestnut, beech and fir trees. It offers guests the perfect opportunity to experience Nature to the full, the sounds and scents of the trees and the spring that flows through the campsite. The bungalow is situated at the bottom of a terraced chestnut grove and it was once used for the drying of the chestnuts during the autumn.
The bungalow is built out of stone, and recalls the typical, local buildings that characterize the small but charming medieval village of Palazzuolo sul Senio.
The bungalow has two floors. On the upper floor there is a double bed, two single beds and a small sideboard that can be transformed into a fifth sleeping space. On the ground floor there is a kitchen and a double sofa bed.
The sorgenti:
The Palazzuolo Campsite changed its name in 2006 following the acquisition of the campsite. The campsite name Le Sorgenti ( the springs ), refers to the springs that flow through the campsite.
There is a fresh water spring of drinking water that supplies the campsite with its daily water usage. There is also a sulphur spring that, when the flow is particularly strong, dyes the rocks white.
The water from this stream is extremely popular with guests and not only, seeing as in the past the local council created a collection point in one of the small piazzas of the town so that the spring and its beneficial waters are constantly accessible to all.
Along the stream’s path there are various points where the water gurgles out of the rocks surrounding it. In short, water and its life source is one of the main features of the “Le Sorgenti†campsite.
